About Science Safari
This family-owned educational toy store and hands-on science museum located at 1255 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27511, was founded in 1990 by a group of educators, Becky and John Blair. Those educators were on a dedicated mission to provide unique hands-on learning experiences and a multitude of opportunities for children in the area to embrace a love for learning. They successfully launched their dream, originally named Science Safari Learning Center, first located within a small shopping center.
After years of fun and connecting with their community, they eventually sold the store to Sean, who had been managing their business since opening. Sean and his wife, Siobhan, hit the ground running with ideas and decided to expand the hands-on toy store and add in nature, discovery, and more entertainment so kids could truly immerse in a world of educational fun.
Services
At Science Safari, they understand how hard it can be to find balance in today’s world for your child to experience play and learning as well as science, nature, and the digital world. That’s why they’ve created a place where all these worlds could meet, so your child can have the best of all worlds. They have a lot to offer, from toys to science classes to clubs and parties!
Toys
- They take pride in their toy selection, ensuring they are high quality and suitable for learning in fun and engaging ways. Whether your child loves kits, robotics, animals, games, puzzles, science gear, and more, they have it all!
Science Classes
- They offer weekly classes that cover a wide range of science topics and nature adventures for children to connect with the world around them. These classes are designed for preschoolers through 5th-grade students.

Specialty
They love their community, and they love a good time, especially a birthday party! Not only do they offer themed party plans, but they also offer a gift registry for your child’s day to help guide your guests! While their shop is open to the public, they also offer shopping by appointment. You can call Mr. Sean, who doubles as an excellent personal shopper.
