Gabrielle reached out wanting updated family photos to celebrate her son turning six months. Missing out on newborn photos, this was their first family session as newly minted parents. In addition, Gabrielle wanted to embrace (and celebrate!) her breastfeeding journey thus far. We used the first half to have fun with the whole family saving the latter half focusing on mom and son!

When this family showed up with their big smiles and positive energy, I knew immediately this session would be a dream. While I'm always ready to direct and give prompts, these lovely souls had such high energy - playing, laughing, rolling around with each other that all I had to do with sit back and snap away. The family dynamics was out of this world, and you can see the love emanate through their photographs.

The hammonds
As soon as I met little Sedona, I knew I was in for a fun treat! While most 18 month olds would be exploring toys and drinking from sippy cups, I found Sedona with a large uncovered taco bell cup, sippin' from it like a boss. I was told she can be a little standoffish with new people, but during the session she was able to let go and have so much fun with mom and dad, allowing me to catch the sweetest moments!

I absolutely love being able to connect with the families in the area. Being a mother myself, I know how precious and fleeting time can be so family sessions hold a special place in my heart.
One of the most important things I do before sessions and get to know you and your family a little better; there are so many personalities at play that this is such a key part of the process! Is your child shy? Loves to talk about dinosaurs? Are you an introvert? Let me know so I can help bring out each personality into each session!
I believe in letting go of what you should be doing in photos, and instead embrace who you're doing them with. Bring the focus to your loved ones and I'll be there, snapping away

It's go-time! Feeling nervous? 100% normal. My job is to help bring out the connection between you and your loved ones. This is the time to let loose and embrace everything!

What you've all been waiting for, the photos! I deliver your digital gallery within three weeks via a private online gallery. This is where you choose your photographs and download them on the spot!
Ramie was such a pleasure to work with! She is meticulous with all the details, and gives a lot of prep info before the day of the shoot. This allows for a much smoother process the day of. She was prompt and prepared for the session. She worked wonders with our toddler, who was not being totally cooperative on the day of and managed to get a number of great shots. We will definitely be using her for our future family photography needs!
